Compete With Yourself
This world has become such a place where everyone has an urge to compete with others and accomplish success. Every person has developed a thought pattern that they can win only if they are two step forward than their competitor. But in reality we don’t know that “ we have competition with our self”. So we can say that “we are competitor of our self”. From our childhood we are taught by our parents that we have to achieve higher marks than others and higher grades than others. In this whole aspect, there is decline of improvement of child in comparison to his earlier achievements .Like he will not be able to identify that where he lacks and where he needs advancement. He will just have a so-called “competition” in his mind. Also it is cleared that nowadays every advanced society provides a space for every person to give tough time to others and to have race in every field life. So we should keep in our mind that “where there is competition ,we cannot attain true knowledge”.
It must be clear that if we talk about competition with our self then it should be competition with your own thoughts, your past, the knowledge you neglect, your ego and every thing that you have in your record.
What comparison with others causes?
I would like to share one of the incidents. There was a girl who belongs to a group of such thought patterned people that have concept that biggest achievement is what you achieve something bigger than the others. She started to relate herself with others. And when she don’t achieve what others had, she started to feel depress. In the whole aspect, she has basically ignored her own achievements and started to achieve the things what others have. This give nothing to her but stress and anxiety.
In a nutshell, this should be kept in our mind that we should not compare the first chapter of our book with the last chapters of others book. Because if you compete with others you will not win.
Are you also a part of relating yourself with others? If yes then are you okay with this?
